The Corps of
Cadets traces its heritage to the Carlisle Military Academy, which
was founded on the current grounds of the University of Texas at
Arlington in 1902. Since then, the cadets have distinguished
themselves as scholars, athletes and leaders, not only in the
military, but also in academia, government, and business.
Today the tradition continues,
the cadets remain an integral part of the university life,
participating and supporting many school activities throughout the
year. The proud legacy of the Corps continues to be enriched by each
generation of graduates as they take those ideals and principles and
become leaders in their chosen fields.
WE DEVELOP THE FUTURE MILITARY,
CORPORATE, AND POLITICAL LEADERS OF AMERICA
The ARMY ROTC Program is an
elective curriculum that you take along your college classes. It
prepares you with the tools, training and experience that will help
you succeed in any competitive environment. ROTC takes very little
of your time, yet it provides benefits that will last you a
lifetime. You can join ROTC without any military obligation for the
first two years and may qualify for scholarships that help you pay
for college.
The University of Texas at Arlington serves as
our host campus, however, our cadets are enrolled in many of our
partnership institutions. Make sure you visit the participating
schools web pages for specific information concerning enrollment and
attendance at ROTC.
If you are
interested, curious, or need a challenge, contact our Enrollment and
Scholarship Officer, no commitment. Make sure you read the
information provided in this web site and ask as many questions as
you and your parents need to ask to understand what ROTC offers, and
why the Maverick Battalion is ranked tops in the country.

Being an Officer in the U.S. Army
means you're a leader, a counselor, a strategist and a motivator.
It's similar to being a vital manager in a corporation. As an
Officer, you will lead other Soldiers in all situations and adjust
in environments that are always changing. They are driven to achieve
success with their team on every mission.
