Welcome to the Corps of Cadets at The University of Texas at Arlington

The Corps of Cadets traces its heritage to the Carlisle Military Academy, which was founded on the current grounds of the University of Texas at Arlington in 1902. Since then, the cadets have distinguished themselves as scholars, athletes and leaders, not only in the military, but also in academia, government, and business.

Today the tradition continues, the cadets remain an integral part of the university life, participating and supporting many school activities throughout the year.

The proud legacy of the Corps continues to be enriched by each generation of graduates as they take those ideals and principles and become leaders in their chosen fields.

AND POLITICAL LEADERS OF AMERICA.

The Maverick Battalion is tops in the Nation

Last year, the Maverick Battalion won the Brigade
Mc Arthur Award as the best battalion in the Brigade (out of 21 schools or so).  This year, our cadets performance in LDAC 08 (Summer Camp 2008) places the Battalion in a new high.

The Maverick cadets achieved ABOVE Cadet Command average qualifications in all areas of Warrior Forge 08.  APFT, Land Navigation, Marksmanship, and Leadership.  Only 2 schools in the new "Apache Brigade" (44 schools) achieved this goal.  Only between a dozen to fifteen schools achieve this marks among the nations 272 SROTC programs.
